Hiroshima ia a stange city...for obvious reaons. It is incredible to think, and see at the various museums, what happened to this place. And to the credit of the people here the National Memorial Hall for the A-bomb victims and the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum are moving tributes to the hundreds of thousands killed in the initial blast and the subsequent years of radiation.

It deals with the political reasons for the tradegy in a rational way, like no other museum we've ever visited. It is amazing to hear real life accounts of the blast and the immediate aftermath. They had the trams up and running again in 3 days!

It is impossible to give the museum, the event or the people justice in this blog. So we will just say it is profoundly moving, inspiring and thought provoking.

The watch above was worn by a victim. The watch records 8.15, 6th August 1945. The moment the bomb went off.
