Shanghai feels wealthy and sophisticated compared with North and West China. Spitting is out, but the split pants babies are still here. We sit around Fuxing park watching the ball room dancing and kite fliers, take the appalling (and appallingly priced sightseeing tunnel) to Pudong to see the quite frankly ugly skyscrapers, see the beautiful Bund at night, and visit some great little areas full of galleries, cafes and nice old industrial buildings that have somehow survived in one of the most development hungry countries on earth.
Oh and Sarah had great fun at the urban planning museum pretending to be King kong!
