Games of table tennis, dinner with the captain (not really!) and starring roles in a film made about the ferry are the highlights of the 48hr trip. Tom acts out a table tennis mishap 4 times while a pretty lady helps him find his ball. Sarah is interviewed on the wonder of sea travel and whether ‘partner’ means boyfriend or husband. Tom turns down the opportunity to dance and do karaoke on film for the promotional video.
Then there are islands, and we start to find our way into Japan. Osaka awaits. Tom’s Mum is already there, hopefully navigating her way unaided from Tokyo airport to Kyoto to meet us. Fingers crossed it all works out!
