I think at that point people started to think maybe we weren’t lying and hadn’t said anything. We headed out and had a couple of incredible close encounters, first with a leopard who came and sat next to the jeep, then with a lioness and her 6 cubs which we found sunbathing in a little patch of long grass. A herd of 10 - 15 elephants wallowed in a muddy pool, 100’s of hippos snorted in the river whilst baboons leapt over the waterfall behind. Then, just as we were heading back, we glimpsed 3 Male lions sitting in the shade of a tree, their huge heads occasionally lifting above the grass. Another beautiful sunset and then home for:
