George Town

Newly designated UNESCO world heritage site for it's collection of stunning colonial streets and buildings....and this is what they do to them!

Fair play though, they aren't all rotting just yet, some are actually cared for but not many. It's an eclectic place with a fascinating history of immigration from China, Britain, Myanmar, Indonesia and India - and for once it has a great local museum that tells the story.

Tom's been working a bit out here which has meant a free dinner and drinks and a few insiders tips which has made us in the end, quite like the place, despite all the rats.
