Seoul

Sarah still can't pronounce it, and thinks she won't remember anything about it in 2 weeks time, but I quite like the city. It's huge, the tower blocks are all labelled but after Japanese efficiency the place is driving us nuts. If I get into a rant about the maps in this country I could be here for days...

Still, they took out an 8 lane, two storey highway from the middle of the city 5 years ago and reopened a river which is great - below road level it's pretty tranquil. Plus we got the scary sight of watching a mother rescue her drowning son from the fast flowing water.

Seoul tower is great as well, sitting on a huge hill in the centre off town. Still, I reccommend to anyone if you've walked 5 or 6 miles to get to the bottom of the hill, don't walk up it in 30 degree heat. It's a sweaty slog. But well worth the effort.
