But then the sun came out, we found a beer garden, discovered 'cafri' (bit like corona!) and pitched up in a little town surrounded by strange green hills. We think they're 1000 year old tombs but again no guide book so we'll find out when we get home.
There were some cracking temples - a cross I guess of Japanese with Tibetan colours, and a stunning palace visited at night. But it was the green hills, friendly people, and sun drenched korean sttyle guesthouse andd courtyard we like the most.
The people seem fairly similar to the Chinese...there's a lot of staring going on again. And the language is incomprehensible after Japanese. Chances of us learning 'hello' in the 8 days we have are slim to none.
