It had to happen, we've not made any major cock-ups in 9 months, and then in the most expensive country in Asia...

We'd planned with meticulous care leaving the day after our rail passes ran out, we just had to get to Hakata today. Arrived at Osaka station this morning - turns out they ran out yesterday and neither of us had checked the date on them since we arrived.

Cost us 100 quid each for the 2.5 hour train ride down here.

Hopefully lesson learnt. Time to move on to cheaper lands.
