After the randomness of Tokyo, we headed up to the Alps for some R and R, and what we hoped would be a nice camping spot. Torrential rain annd freezing temperatures forced us in doors though to pay 40 quid a night for a hut and a mattress, no heating and no showers!

Still, when the rain finally disappeared we were greeted with this sight. Plus we got to cook for the first time in months. A slightly dodgy attempt at spag bol was made and no illnesses have struck us down yet.

Kamikochi was stunning, annd once the day trippers left, a wonderfully peaceful place to while away a few days... And Tom is never happier than when he's in the mountains, even if Sarah won't let him climb them.
