JAPAN

Japan is surpisingly easy, and clean. Not many people speak English but the trains are good, the toilet technology insane and most importantly, Mum is waiting for us in Kyoto having mastered the train network.

Kyoto at first glance is just a big, low rise, clean city. But get off the beaten track and there are beautiful streets, a very clean river where we watch otters playing just 50m from the commercial centre of town, and stunningly big temples. And they’re very different to most Buddhist temples which is great for us.

Plus we can regulate the temperature of our toilet seat!!
