It would have been a pleasant 3 hr boat trip to Muang Ngoi, but for thee the uncontrollable shakes caused by last nights party. Limestone mountains and occasional rapids.

This sleepy village was our home for 3 days. No vehicles. Just friendly people, a surprising number of tourists and a stunning view up the Nam Ou river. Days spent tubing lazily in the river on old tractor tyres. Another wedding, this time with cold buffalo meat and ginger (not good!).
