With no job, no family and friends to celebrate with and no tiaras or tantrums this was a low key birthday. A nap in the afternoon suggests I really have turned 30, but we'd got up at 4.30am to see the sunrise at Angkor Wat. The most impressive army of photographers ever seen.
Trundling round the temples by Tuk Tuk in the heat we were bizarrely reminded of Clumber Park at the Terrace of the Elephants and generally annoyed by the posing koreans amongst the massive trees that are breaking up the ruins.
But the temples of Sien Reap are stunning and contributed to a brilliamt day...as did the viogner, the Amok (baked fish in a coconut) and the presents received from Sarah, family and friends.
The photo is the sunset looking out over Angkor this evening. It was my birthday treat and another part of a wonderful day.

Happy birthday TJP!
Been meaning to post something in a while as I've been subscribed to your blog from the start. May i suggest there should be more videos of people jumping off tall things. Great work otherwise.
