We're in a hippy town in SW China called Dali. Relaxing place with the best cake shop ever - set up by US missionaries to employ deaf people to make the best cheesecake known to man (under debate).

Other than that there's everything you can want if you want tie-dye, weed (maybe thats why the cake shop is there!!), hippy bags and very good vegetables.

We've been up a mountain for a couple of days freezing from 4 in the afternoon to 2 in the afternoon. Bed was warm though. We are both now fans of electric blankets. Did an easy 10 mile walk today with stunning views over the walled Dali and the lake. The dragon maiden pools half way up the hill were stunning and relatively tranquil for this country.

And now its beer o'clock...Dali beer reasonable, the same cost as DC and barely any stronger.
