Chengdu is an easy place to do nothing...we seem to be spending our lives sat around at Sim's Cozy Garden Hostel eating homemade brownies and watching endless DVD's in bed. Quite frankly this is miles better than working but you can't help thinking that we should be out there exploring...
Still, we saw the Pandas yesterday at the breeding research centre in Wolong. They survived the quake. There are around 60 giant pandas including 11 newborn. About the size of a terrier at 2 months. Words can't really describe the sight of baby pandas in a giant cot sleeping on top of each other and sliding around as they try to get their legs to work. Sickeningly cute perhaps.
The giant pandas are possibly the laziest animals we've ever seen they lie on their back munching away - which is fairly apt considering our time in Chengdu. One more day of delicious Sechuan food before we head off to the rice terraces and mountains of Yunnan.
