Some final thoughts on Mongolia before we head off to Beijing. I don't know how much our tourist $ is helping things here. Our guide 'Man' says that it is corrupting the way of life. Most tours encourage you to stay with families but we've heard tales of tourists turning up and the families move out for the night...that kind of defeats the point.

Either the mongols live a hard life in the country with no education or healthcare and die young, or they move to UB, have access to education and die from the smog!

The landscape is stunning, the people outside the city friendly and the way of life unique. Hopefully it will stay that way. Maybe we could have done more in the 18 days we've been here but it gives us a good excuse to come back.
