The greatest road trip on earth

Up into the Ngorongoro highlands, past the 20km wide crater, through the cattle grazing heartlands of the Maasai and down into the vast green plains of the Serengeti. You just wouldn’t believe two colours - green and blue - could make such a beautiful landscape. The great herds of Wildebeest are here and gallop past, bucking and leaping across the road, zebra and giraffes in huge numbers, a hyena sits in the long grass, vultures, eagles, a grey crowned crane.

Sarah and I have the front seat, the roof is open, and we just hang out, soaking it all up. Granite Kopjes provide hideouts for predators, we stop to watch 4 lionesses in the undergrowth. A small stand of Acacias hides a dozing leopard, high up and out of reach.
