In the darkness of Singida, having not eaten for 3 days, we take the help of two girls, Glory and Janet. They take us for tea through the bush. They are our protection and translators. They eat all our chips. But they are lovely girls who teach us Swahili and allow the locals to chat to us rather than just mutter ’mizungo’.
