Jaipur

Continuing our whirlwind tour of Northern India, we've reached Jaiphur. By far the biggest city we've seen. While that brings the glories of Baskin Robbins after 2 months without any good puddings, it also means more traffic, more pollution and more filfth.
The 'Pink City' isn't that nice. But it has some stunning buildings like the Hawa Mahal above. Built in 1799 to allow the Maharajas wives to view life outside the Palace walls whilst remaining hidden.
It's especcially nice to see that it is covered in grafitti and had platerwork gouged out everywhere for the installation of lights. A so called 'protected monument'.
