Bloody crazy this city!

But great, if you like filthy, polluted, noisy and congested cities where you get not one moments peace.

The trffic is insane. You take your life in your hands just leaving the house. Cars and bikes flying down the tiny streets. But we've not seen one crash or altercation yet so they must be good drivers.

It's all a welcome change from SE Asia - different colours, smells and noises. A real overload for the senses. And hopefully an easy work up to India.

Durbar Sq. in this picture is an incredible collection of courtyards and open spaces, temples and houses. There are beautiful mediaeval squares if you just get off the beaten track. It's a strange but beautiful city.
