Flores

Well, we've been a bit slack on the old blog front. Maybe it was the shock of being away for a year. Just wanted to enjoy it and not stress about our only job, which is to update this and flickr...

Anyway, we've been on Flores. A worldwind tour from east to west through one of the most beautiful, rugged islands we've ever seen. Just one big chain of volcanos. Green rice terraces like the spider fields above, blue stone beaches, golden scrub and turquoise seas. It was hard work, with an inordinate amount of hassle off the not so friendly tourist botherers across the island.

But we were in a hurry. We'd been told about an island with awsome snorkelling, hammocks and a good restaurant and we wanted one last stretch on a beach before we headed out of SE Asia for good.
