We've been living in Sarah's cousins' home for 2 days. It feels so nice and, well, homely.
But today we went to the Myanmar embassy. Not much fun but can be summed up by the taxi ride:
Neither the concierge or the driver could read a map or understand our attempt at speaking Thai...so the driver told us he knew where to go, took us to the biggest mall in town, turned to us and asked 'shopping?'.
And yes, he expected to be paid for that helpful turn. I can't even bring myself to recount the incompetent fools at the embassy. How they earn a wage is beyond me.
