Turns out that the big 3-0 is fantastic!
We’re in Kanchanaburi, we’re engaged, and spent the morning with tigers. Yup – tigers – fousands of ‘em. Bottle feeding them, stroking them, playing with them with dog toys, and making the three week olds cry when you stop stroking them. And that was just over breakfast (with monks).
After a hot curry and rice for breakfast, we walked the thirteen week olds (much stronger than they look) to the waterfall, then got in and played with them – them and an 8 month old – considerably bigger! They seemed to like the ball on a stick, and wrestling it off them was a tough job – slight injury sustained when I got caught up in a tussle with 4 of them – Tom wants it to scar – ‘pretty cool war wound’! We then washed them – mine apparently wasn’t that happy about it, as he bit my leg and made a hole in my trousers. Buttered them up by hand feeding them chicken!
We then walked a 400 lb 4 year old ‘Yak Yak’ to the exercise pond and watched all the adults go crackers for an hour.
Absolutely unbelievable. Here’s to being 30!
