Luang Prabang is the former capital of Laos and an old French Colonial town...and for once the French Colonial bit is actually true. The buildings are beautiful - a mix of wood and stone terraces and villas. Great markets and incredible food...that's why we've been here 5 days now.

It sits on the banks of the Mekong and is a great place to while away the hours trying to stay cool in what is becoming scarily oppresive heat. Thank god we're heading South then tomorrow.
