We've hit Hanoi and om is ill...possibly not the best place to feel run down with the incessant beeping and chaotic streets but it seems like a nice city with a sort of villagey, leafy feel to the old quarter.
Best place to view it though is definately from a roof terrace away from the noise.
Next stop Halong Bay and then Sapa for the start of what promises to be a momentus journey over the mountains into Laos.
